INTERCHANGE VS TOP-NOTCH SERIES; A COMPARATIVE STUDY
Abstract
This study aimed at comparing the evaluation of Iranian EFL teachers concerning Interchange and Top-Notch. 58 EFL teachers in five different cities, Firozabad, Kazerun, Borazjan, Qaemiye and Noor Abad were recruited through convenient sampling. The questionnaire developed by Alamri (2008) was employed for current study. In particular, this questionnaire evaluated the following categories: general appearance, design and illustration, accompanying materials, objectives, topic contents, language contents, social and cultural contexts, language skills, teach ability, flexibility, teaching methods, practice and testing. Based on the findings of this research, on the whole, there was a significant difference between the perception of the participants about Interchange and Top-Notch series in the categories under investigation. The finding indicated that Iranian EFL teachers had a better interpretation and perception about Interchange.
